I think I overdid my recovery week. I was feeling really good yesterday and it was a perfect day, so I ran. I ran too much! I started out just going one hour, then I noticed the water fountains were still on. So I filled up and headed out this nice trail and I ran, and ran. One hour AND 45 minutes later I returned to the water fountain and refilled. That's three bottles. And lots of miles! OOPS, good thing is I don't have a coach to yell at me! Only my legs, that are screaming at me today. That's what recovery days are for. I am recovering from my recovery week. Hmmmm, okaay!
Monday starts my last big push until IMAZ and I am excited. This is the first time in 11 years (minus a few child bearing yrs) I have been excited to go long and train hard. This week my husband is even going to take off so we can ride together. The last time we rode together I felt great, so I am looking forward to logging those long miles. I will have to keep reminding myself of this as the weeks roll on and the training gets tougher! Cheers!
