That just about sums up the week of workouts so far. Today Kathleen and I rode 100 miles and had around 6000 ft of climbing! It was a great day, we were storm chasers most of the ride, except the storm was chasing us around and we were trying to avoid it. Kathleen was awesome today, this is her longest ride ever. We did a virtual high five when we passed the mile of her longest ride ever. It had to be virtual because if we actually tried to high five we would most likely crash! And I felt the best I have felt after riding 100 miles. We ate, drank and chatted our way around the foothills and it was a blast. Of course it was not all fun, I managed at one point to lose my cell phone. It was not really the phone I was worried about but rather the $6 I had in the baggie that protected my phone from sweat and rain. If I lost the $6, the ride was pretty much done as I would have no money for drinks. It turns out that not all people are evil, some are good. Someone turned my phone into the campground office, the bonus was that the $6 was still there!! Ride on!!!
Tomorrow I will run, more that last weeks 15 miles but not sure if I can make 18. I need to help Madie pack for Girl Scout camp, she will be gone for 2 nights, and my son is supposed to go mountain biking with Uncle Mikey will also be gone for the night Friday. Too bad I will be too tired to enjoy the freedom from children!! I plan on sleeping, a lot!!! Cheers!
