This week has been a challenge. Coming home from our trip I was spent but ready to get back to training. I love the training!! I have taken a good deal of down time from IMAZ and am feeling the need to race again. However, my body was not ready. I got sick in Hawaii and it turned into a nasty sinus infection. So this week was building my strength back up to start training. I am beginning to sound like a broken record. I will start training next week, no next week, okay maybe next week. This time I am serious. I will start training next week. I actually have races planned this year and I am sharing them with you. As opposed to last year when I was secret training for races undisclosed. I am on antibiotics and feeling better, but still very tired. Today was a 1hr ride with long endurance intervals. My effort was good and my energy stayed with me, so overall it was a good workout. Tomorrow I will ride indoors and Sunday is a long run. The runner girls in the hood want to go early, but I am a wimp. Early for me these days is 10am, I'm still on Hawaii time.
So here is the low down, races are planned, flights arranged, hotels booked, game on! Galveston's Lone Star Half-Ironman, then Deuce man in Arizona in June, 5430 Long course in August, Harvest Moon in September, and for the grand finale, Great Floridian in October. These are all races that I love, they are small and packed with fun!! Just what this season needs!! Cheers!!
